Danuta Maria Hartman

Danuta (Szwabowski) Hartman, 76, formerly of Wallingford, departed this life on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at The Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, FL. She was the beloved wife of over 42 years to the late Bruce E. Hartman. Danuta was born in Leone, Mexico, on January 17, 1945, to the late Stanley and Pauline (Berdnik) Szwabowski. She was naturalized at age 5 to a US citizen, and after living in Wallingford for many years moved to Winter Haven, FL, in 2009. She was a retired Chemist in the Town of Wallingford, was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in FL, where she was a Eucharistic Minister, and she volunteered at Regenerations Thrift Shop. She is survived by her sons: Jay Hartman (Laura) and Adam Hartman (Joanna); her brother Walter Szwabowski; her grandchildren Benjamin, Nathaniel & Ruby; and her companion Hank Zawadowski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 11AM at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 127 N. Orchard St., Wallingford. Interment will follow at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery. The family will receive visitors prior to Mass from 9:30-10:30AM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford.
