David Pasquale Obituary

David Pasquale (December 30, 1950 - March 25, 2022), Durham, CT, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family. David was a lifelong resident of Durham. He was a graduate of Xavier High School (1968). He retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft (Middletown) after 30 years of employment where he worked as a jet engine mechanic. David was friendly and loving with sparkling blue eyes and a great sense of humor. He was a talented woodworker. He enjoyed drawing, writing poetry, fishing and working around his home and yard with his wife Paula. He loved the wildlife that frequented their backyard and often commented on how lucky he was to live in such a beautiful place, that was so full of life. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his wife, his loving family and faithful dog Sweetpea.

David is survived by his wife of 38 years, Paula; his daughters: Dawn, (Donald) Hanna; Theresa, (Martin) Bogue; brothers: Thomas, (Deb) Pasquale of R.I.; Joseph, (Debby) Pasquale of Durham; Michael Pasquale of Durham; sister: Anne, (Jill Feldman) Pasquale of Hamden; granddaughter: Lauren, (Andrew) Coleman; great-granddaughter: Ellie Coleman. David was adored by his many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

David was predeceased by his mother Ann L. (Zdanuk) Pasquale and father Carl A. Pasquale. David will be deeply missed by his family and friends but his strength and his gentle loving kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

David's wife and family want to thank all of Middlesex Hospital's Critical Care and Palliative care nurses, doctors and all employees that diligently and compassionately helped to care for him.

Family and friends may call on Monday, April 4, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm at the Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown. A service will follow at 6:30 pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. For those who prefer, donations in David's memory may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111. I fondly remember Dave when he first moved to Durham and I lived across the street on Haddam Quarter Rd. He was so kind and friendly and we would sit on my front stoop and watch his Husky puppy tear apart every
containment system Dave developed. It was a tough time for Dave and I am so happy he
found true happiness with a loving family.
