David Schultz Obituary

David Carlton Schultz, age 86, of Sarasota, FL, peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022, of natural causes. Services will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery at 2:30 on Friday, May 6.

Dave is survived by his daughters Nancy-Lee Kolland (Jacob Kollanda), Melissa Negel, Heidi Brisson (Matthew Brisson); grandchildren Clayton Kollanda, Emily Brisson, Ethan Brisson, and nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Betty Heines and her husband Donald. His brother Willam died shortly after Dave's passing.

Son of William and Nellie Marie (Carlson) Schultz, Dave grew up in Meriden, CT. He attended Mount Hermon Prep School, received a BS degree in mathematics and physics in 1958 from Hobart College and served in the Army from 1959 - 1962. During his career Dave worked for Traveler's Insurance Company, Yale University, and Southern New England Telephone. After relocating to Sarasota, FL, he worked for the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office. Dave loved sports, was an avid golfer, and enjoyed the beaches of Siesta Key and Cape Cod.
