Dolores Maccio Obituary
Dolores was an award-winning craftsman. Her handmade mouse themed Christmas tree ornaments were always favorites of those attending the Southington Apple Harvest Arts & Crafts weekend. She won numerous blue ribbons for her decorated Christmas trees at the Southington Historical Society Holiday Events. Dolores was an avid bowler. She won numerous individual and team awards during her many years in various women's bowling leagues.
She was a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and the UCONN Women's Basketball program.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband, spending time with her family, and enjoyed her visits to the Mohegan Sun.
Her funeral will be Thursday, 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville for a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery.
