Gerald G. St. Hilaire
Gerald G. St. Hilaire, husband of Sally (Plude) St. Hilaire, passed away on July 23, 2025, at Midstate Medical Center, with his family by his side.
Gerald was born in Walden, Vermont, on November 26, 1932, the son of the late Alfred and Zepherine (Labbe) St. Hilaire.
At 18, Gerald joined the U.S. Air Force and served 4 years during the Korean War.
Gerald retired in 2005, from Central Conn Acoustics, Inc. as president for 37 years, which was started with his brothers in 1968.
Gerald enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf with his family and friends and was an avid Yankee fan.
A devoted family man, he was loved deeply by his surviving wife, Sally of 68 years; and their three children, Bonnie (Gary) Desjardins, Meriden, Gerald Jr (Sherri) St. Hilaire, Wallingford, Deborah (Robert) Canny, Wallingford. He leaves his grandchildren, Tara Desjardins, Karlee (Anthony) Pascucci, Ali Perzanowski (Teddy), Michael (Katya) St. Hilaire, Ashlee (Ryan) Doherty, Sophie (Brian Pippins) St. Hilaire, Miranda Marcantonio (Rocco); great-grandchildren, Julian and Grayson Kounz, Chase and Charlie Perzanowski, Emmie, Evelyn, Esme Doherty. Survived by brothers, Henry (Janice) St. Hilaire and David (Geraldine) St. Hilaire, along with several nieces and nephews. Gerald was predeceased by his sisters, Marie Rhinehart, Marielle Sadlowski, Arlene Michaud, Frances Towne; brothers-in-law, Karl Rhinehart, Eugene Sadlowski and Bert Michaud, James Towne.
