Gladys Christie Obituary

MERIDEN - Gladys B. Christie, 83, wife of David Christie, died on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008 at Meriden Center after a brief illness.

Born in Princeton, New Foundland, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Jessie White. She resided in Calais, Maine before moving to Meriden where she lived most of her life. Mrs. Christie was an avid league bowler and loved to travel.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a god-son, Gary McMorran and his wife, RoseAnne of Meriden and god-son, Jack McMorran Jr. of North Haven; sister-in-law, Mary Christie of Calais, Maine; brothers-in-law, Lloyd Christie of Saco, Maine and Frederick Christie of Calais, Maine; and niece, Donna Wall of Old Orchard Beach, Maine.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral service to be held on Monday, Jan. 14 at 11 a.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
