Harold Fallon Obituary

Harold "Bud" F. Fallon, Jr., 71, of Durham, beloved husband of Lucille J. (La Croix) Fallon and the late Ellin McGlynn Fallon, died Sunday March 10, 2019, at home with his loving family by his side. Bud was born in New Haven, son of the late Harold F. Fallon, Sr., and Mary (Conway) Fallon. Besides his wife Lucille, Bud is survived by their children Meghan Fallon of Middletown, Christen Roy and her husband Jeffrey of Middletown, Marc Diamonte of Manchester, Lisa Ventrelli and her husband Anthony of Middletown, sisters Marion Williams and Frances Fallon of North Carolina and brother Thomas Fallon and his wife Sally of East Haven. He is also survived by his grandchildren Nicholas Voisine, Tyler and Aiden Roy, Ashtin, Paul, Mario and Charles Diamonte and Sophia and Talia Ventrelli. Bud was a Veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Air Force and was a lifetime member of the Durham VFW Post #10169 where he carried the flag during the Memorial Day Parade for more than 18 years and served as Grand Marshall of the parade in 2016. He was also active in Durham Little League for many years as a coach as well as Director of Girls Softball. He loved spending time with his family especially on the holidays. Bud enjoyed spending time with his friends over breakfast, playing cards or a round of golf, and happy hours with the guys. Rebuilding his 1964 Oldsmobile and attending car shows also brought him much happiness. Graveside services were held on Monday, March 18, 2019 at the State Veterans' Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Durham VFW Post #10169, PO Box 304, Durham, CT 06422. To share memories or express condolences online, please visit www.biegafuneralhome.com

Bud was one of the friendliest/most intelligent people I've ever known. If you were feeling down, Bud would bring you back up in quick order and you didn't even see it coming. I very much enjoyed playing golf with Bud. Rest in Peace Buddy, we will miss you.

I was blessed to have had the pleasure of knowing Bud. From being my partner at AT&T for years and being close friends after we retired. Having breakfast and going to car shows together. I can honestly say that he was one of the nicest persons I have ever met. He will be missed by many. Rest well my friend.
