Kathleen Pedrolini

Kathleen Pedrolini passed away at her home on May 15, 2021 at the age of 76, following a brave battle with cancer. The daughter of the late William and Mary Hanley, she was born and raised in Meriden, where she lived her whole life. She was predeceased by her husband of forty-nine years, Albert Pedrolini, Jr.

She attended St. Rose School and graduated from Maloney High School in 1963. She earned an associate's degree from Laurel Business College. She then began her career at Choate Rosemary Hall, where she worked in their alumni relations and development department for nearly forty years. This work spurred her support of a number of philanthropic causes throughout her life, especially in the field of education.

She is survived by her daughter, Tina, and her son-in-law, Mark Caplan, as well as by her grandson, Max, who was truly the light of her life. She is also survived by her cherished sister, Ellen Uliase, her nephew Joseph, his wife Jennifer, and her great niece Sophia. She is also survived by her best friend of over seventy years, Katherine Masterson Loughlin, as well as many other beloved, lifelong friends and extended family members.

Kathleen was an avid reader, loved puzzles, and was an excellent cook. She was well known for her generosity and kindness and was a rock of support for her family and friends. She enjoyed travelling, especially if it meant it time at her favorite place; the beach. But perhaps her favorite place of all was wherever she was surrounded by the love of her family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, May 27th from 3 to 6pm at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden. A funeral service will follow at 6pm. Burial will be private. Masks and social distancing will be required per CDC and State guidelines.
