Dear Suzio Family,
I cannot begin to say how sorry I am for your loss. To be honest I didn't know Krista, but I have known Faith since my freshman year and when I heard the news I couldn't imagine the sorrow Faith and her family must be going through. Faith is a very strong person, and she didn't get that from nowhere, she got it from her family. My thoughts are with you and I send my love.
Sincerely,
Sasha Jarufe

Kate, Len and family,
Krista will always be in our hearts, thoughts, prayers along with your entire family. May you know that there are many who love and support you. Krista will live on in your other children- Katelyn with her long hair and easy manner, Rachel with her gentleness and loving nature, Faith with those beautiful eyes and spirit and Josh with his compassion and zest for life. God bless you all.

Suzio Family:
I was a friend of Krista's from St. Stan's. Although much time has passed since I saw her last, I have never forgotten about her & have always wondered how she was doing. By looking at the multitude of heart felt entries here, it is apparent that she grew from an adorable, fun-loving 4th grader into a deeply caring young woman who has touched the lives of many.
Krista is in my thoughts and prayers, as well as her family.
I will continue to miss her.

The solace that comes from knowing that Krista is with God walks side by side with the grief we all feel for her absence from our lives. Yet Krista will always be a very special part of a very special family. I hope that knowing that your grief is shared by so many might, in some small way, make your burden lessen slightly. Much love from your brother, uncle and friend.

Krista was such a talented and beautiful young woman. Even though I did not see her much as I got older, I still remember all the great times that we had as kids. Playing in the pool, and dancing to some aweful 80's/90's music was always fun. The one memory that I will never forget though is when Caitlin, Krista, and Lara made up the song 'Shake Shakes and Roll' in which they would shake me and then roll Faith across the floor. I miss those times, and I miss spending more time with my cousins. Krista, you will always be missed and loved. Your cousin, Candice

Those of us who knew Krista share the pain of loss. That which is shared by many may help us all remember what an incredible individual Krista was and our memory of her live on.
My deepest felt sympathy and prayer goes out to her family. As it has been said, "A parent should need never outlive his or her child." I wish none of us ever have to experience this pain. At the same time, without pain and sadness, how do we know the feeling of pleasure and happiness? There goes that wish...
I have worked with her off and on during the time she worked at Mohegan Sun. The past few months I had the pleasure of working with her pretty much on a regular basis more often than not. Her bright smile and intense eyes brought sunshine with them even when she wasn’t feeling well or feeling out of sorts. It was the aura she had about her no matter what.
It was barely a week ago that she made chicken soup for me because I had gotten sick. She had planned on making “bangin’” banana bread from her mother’s recipe and bring it in for the crew to share. She was also teaching herself to knit. The “click” of the aluminum needles annoyed her and decided that she was going to have to get wooden ones. I was helping her get started on her way to enjoying yet another craft. She was so blessed with creativity! Recently she and I were sitting like scavengers weeding through bags of broken Christmas ornaments to find salvageables. We found quite a few actually.
We had long talks about life in general and the goals we wanted to achieve. She really wanted to get back into cooking more because she enjoyed it so much. She seemed to truly enjoy and be good at whatever she set her mind to. She was a hard worker and always chipped in without being asked if she saw a need anywhere.
How fortunate we all were to have her in our lives! She left an indelible impression in my heart. I will always remember her with great fondness.

I knew Krista for my entire life. In many ways, she was like a sister to me. When I was down, she went out of her way to pick me up. That’s the type of person she was. It pained her deeply to see others in pain. She was a very loving, caring person. Krista once described herself like this, "A young woman who loves life, knows it is too short to waste, and will never settle for anything." She will be missed by many people including myself. My heart goes out to her family. Katelyn, call me if you need anything.

(Part of something I posted at work, which is how I knew Krista)
We all found Krista to conduct herself with dignity and had a certain grace & poise. She was a warm person and you could tell she enjoyed being with us.
In my experience, she was quite often the person in our group who made things happen. She wanted to do meaningful work. Krista’s ability to work hard and long hours along side us, somehow made it easier to put in the extra effort that makes the difference during our busy and long days.
Her optimistic, positive attitude affected me and for that I am grateful & thankful. Maybe, she was generous to a fault….I don’t know.
Krista was straightforward and didn’t profess to be more than you she was. She had a genuine concern for people, offering assistance to anyone who seemed to need help. You could just tell Krista had a wide circle of friends who thought highly of her because of her generous and kindly disposition.
She was so well-versed in all our disciplines, I suspect a “fight” would have broken out if we wanted to keep her in The Cabaret!
I could not help but be impressed with her attitude and performance.
She had intelligence, integrity, and common sense.
I guess we will all find some way to cope and deal with this sudden tragedy.
Tears, love and reflection seem to have come naturally to me, this sad day, as naturally as she came into all of our lives. Knowing pain is a part of life, doesn’t make it easier. I will miss her smile greatly.
Perhaps this is a time of change & reflection for all of us…
