When people said his name in full it was like hearing a phrase from a happy song: Larry D'Daddario. Joy and appreciation was what you always felt in the company of Larry. I knew him only a short time in the 70s, when I was leaving the Meriden Fire Department and Larry was making his lasting mark on this organization, made better for his activity with it. Years later, he found me online and dropped me a line sometimes, always telling me the news of the death and other events of firefighters we knew together. If I wanted to know about the welfare of someone, I always asked Larry. He was a solid citizen for many. He will be missed by so many. To his family and more constant friends - Sorry so much for your loss.
