Marcus Fountain Obituary
He was born July 28, 1973 in Meriden, a son of Nathaniel and Gladys (Grimes) Fountain Sr. Marcus was a chef for various restaurants in the area.
In addition to his parents, Marcus is survived by his three daughters, Yeilleena and Taydreena Fountain, both of Pennsylvania and Caya Fountain, of Massachusetts; a brother, John Fountain of Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Hope Smith and her husband, David, of Meriden; his maternal grandmother, Betty Grimes, of Meriden; and paternal grandmother, Ruth Fountain, of Middletown; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Nathaniel Fountain Jr.; and his maternal grandfather, Ernest Grimes; and paternal grandfather, Daniel Fountain.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept. 2, at 11 a.m. at the Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., prior to the service. Donations in Marcus' memory may be made the American Cancer Society, I-91Tech Center, 825 Brook St., Rocky Hill, CT 06067.

Marcus was a dear friend of mine he was like a brother to me I wish the family a well being and my heart goes out to the whole family at least even though he is up stairs with the big guy looking down at us all he knows he was loved by many and he has a loving family that stuck by his side so with that happy moment my prayer and love go out to the family and I wish u all the best in life and he will be missed dearly in gods name I will pray for everything we have to offer to the lord and pray that no one has to endor that pain that we all go thou when we lose some one that was loved like marcus

I went to elementary and middle school with Marcus, and remember him fondly. He was a sweetheart of a kid, and I'm sure turned into a wonderful man.
