Megan Carlson Obituary
She was born April 6, 1994, in New Britain, the loving daughter of William and Kathleen (Maguire) Carlson. Megan was a Southington High School graduate, class of 2012. She was a student at Tunxis Community College and worked in the family business. Megan started every day with an iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts while listening to her country music. She loved gymnastics, snowmobiling, snowboarding, dirt biking and spending time with her friends and family. She will be remembered for her bright smile and her love for helping others.
In addition to her parents, Megan is survived by her two brothers, Ryan Carlson, of Berlin and Matthew Carlson, of Southington; her maternal grandmother, Marion Parsell; her great-grandmother, Marion Porter, both of Plantsville; uncle, James Maguire (Donna,) of Plantsville; uncle, Clifford Carlson (Carol,) of Clinton; aunt, Suzanne Carlson-Ciofalo, of Guilford; aunt, Sharon Carlson (Kathryn Jerling,) of Cheshire; maternal great-aunt, Patricia Stone, of Plantsville; many cousins; and her two special cats, Joey and Peanut. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, William and Marylou Carlson; her uncle, Michael Carlson; her maternal great-grandfather, Francis Porter; and her maternal grandfather, Blaine Parsell.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Megan's memory may be made to Cat Tales, P.O. Box 901, Middletown, CT 06457.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in South End Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Dear Carlson Family, I'm so sorry for your loss, she looks like she was a delightful young lady,I am also so sorry about not being able to attend Marylou's funeral since she was in Fla. So Sorry, for both losses, I knew her grandma,cuz I been to her home on centennial Ave, and discovered we were both lovers of the same colors, violet and purple. I am truly sorry, I have 3 kids and one with God so I know your pain. if your wondering who I am, I was a clerk at Graebers, and had delivered meds to Marylou(rip) on occasions wen someone forgot.what a wonderful lady.and what a beautiful daughter,and big loss for you. may God Cover you with his peace and surround you with his comfort now and forever.
