Nancy Rohde Obituary

Nancy Marie Rohde (Yokich)
Nancy Marie Rohde (Yokich) died peacefully at age 79 on Thursday, June 19, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. Wife of Michael Rohde, Nancy was a resident of Meriden, CT. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Ann and Bernard Yokich.
Nancy was a wonderful mother to her son Matthew and daughter Mandy, and a beloved nana to two grandsons, Max and Sam. In addition to her husband, children and grandchildren, she is survived by her brother Billy Yokich, her sister Mary Tredeau, her nephews Sean and Matthew, and her "twin cousin" Joan Dietrich.
Nancy sang and played the ukulele in the Wallingford Ukulele Club, and loved her playdates with her neighbor girls. She was full of energy, always smiling or whistling a tune, and brightened the lives of all who knew her.
At her request there will be no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Meriden Humane Society, or The Cove Center for Grieving Children.

Nancy will truly be missed. She was a wonderful neighbor always with a welcoming smile and warm demeanor. My husband Charles referred to Nancy as his lil buddy. The neighborhood will not be the same as I often see her taking her daily stroll or chatting it up with whomever. We will always remember Nancy as a beautiful kind woman. Rest in peace my dear. Our sincere condolences to her husband Mike, her children and her family.

Mike, Matt and Mandy, I am so sorry to hear about Nancy. She and Mike raised a wonderful family. When she subbed at Maloney, she was like the Energizer Bunny, always bouncing around and willing to help out. I hope that years of memories of laughter and good times, as well as the love and concern of family and friends will help to console you during these sad times, and always.
Most Fondly, Pat Zajac

My "twin," my best friend, the one I could always count on, she made me laugh like no other, she loved deeply and fully. There could never be another Nancy. Nothing made me happier than when someone asked "are you twins?" I can´t think of anyone I would rather twin with. Love you, Cuz!!!
