Norbert Carr Obituary
He was born in Worcester, Mass. on June 6, 1939, and was the son of the late Romeo and Mary Carr, and had resided in Meriden since 1963. He was employed by Armstrong Rubber Co. for over 25 years, retiring in 1997. Mr. Carr was a peacetime veteran, having served with the U.S. Army. He enjoyed biking.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Timothy) Martin and Charlene Carr Skiffington; four grandchildren, Chantel, Devonne, Vanessa, and Madison.
The funeral will be held on Friday, July 22 at 7 p.m., at the John J. Ferry and Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., Rocky Hill, CT 06067. www.jferryfh.com

Sorry to hear of Norm's passing. I will always remember Norm for the group trip he organized on the Natchez Trace. It was a great trip for all of us and I believe a fulfillment of one of Norm's dreams.

You have my deepest sympathy. I bicycled many miles with Norm, always a great companion. He was a regular participant in the Wednesday Group bicycling activities. We will miss him.
