Patrick Daly Obituary

Patrick Carl Daly, 63, of Wallingford, husband of Brenda (Clark) Daly, passed away unexpectedly November 12, 2021 at his home.

Patrick was born in Meriden on April 11, 1958, a son of the late Carl and Mary Jane (Priester) Daly.

He worked as a mechanic and a steelworker. Pat had many hobbies including hiking Mt. Washington and the Appalachian Trail. For the past 30 years Pat was an active member at the Mt. Washington fundraiser, Seek the Peak. He was passionate about nature and thoroughly enjoyed being outdoors. Pat was an avid Rams fan, loved listening to Pink Floyd and working on his Ford F250 Super Duty truck. Most of all, Pat loved his family and friends and he will be missed.

Surviving besides his wife, Brenda, are his daughters, Jennifer Janus (Joel) and Amy Daly; his sisters, Debra Daly Gannon (James) and Dawn Ann Daly; his brothers, Douglas Daly (Lynn), Richard Daly (Dawn) and Wayne Daly (Mary); his grandchildren, Sarah Janus, Keagan Daly and Lily Janus.

Pat's family will receive relatives and friends at the First United Methodist Church on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 11 am until 1 pm. A funeral service will follow at 1 pm in the church. Masks are required at the church. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Mt. Washington.org/Mt. Washington Observatory, PO Box 2310, North Conway NH 03860 in memory of Patrick Daly.

Brenda and family, sending you hugs and my sincere condolences.
I will always remember Pat coming to the office bringing me magazines of hiking and we would chat about that and classic rock music. It is because of Pat that I fell in love with Mt Washington. It was Pat and Brenda inviting my sister and I for Seek the Peak one year and we continue to hike that mountain yearly! I will always be grateful to him for that. Hugs n love

Pat will be greatly missed, he was a really great guy. I'm glad to have lots of happy memories of time spent with the family when we were in America. I remember when I passed my driving test Pat said I could drive his truck next time I came over, I'm sure he'd be glad I didn't get the chance as with my driving I definitely would have damaged his beloved truck! Wish I could be there to hug you all and pay my final respects but you will all be in my thoughts and I will play some Pink Floyd on Friday in Pat's memory.
