Paul Vumbaco Obituary
He was born on July 29, 1961 in Meriden, the son of the late Joseph and Ann (Ventrella) Vumbaco. Paul was owner of Vumbaco's Quality Lawn Care, Inc., Quality Garden and Equipment Sales, and Quality Time Food and Spirits.
Besides his wife, Sharon, Paul is survived by his daughter, Alyssa Ann Vumbaco and son, Joseph Ronald Vumbaco; he is also survived by his sister, Joanne Tenney and her husband, Rick and niece, Shannon, of Cheshire; sister, Rosanne Longo and her husband Stephen, of Clinton; his mother and father-in-law, Ronnie and Robin Kogut; in-laws, Stephen and Leslie Kogut, Dana and Billy Wright, Robyn and Eoin McClure; nieces and nephews, Stephen, Kaylee, R.J., Bailey, Nick, Marley, and Abbey, all of Meriden and, of course, his faithful dog, Dash.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 15, at 10 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home. Paul preferred casual attire, so please follow his lead and dress comfortably. I am lucky enough my parents chose you to be my Godfather, which meant my dad not only saw you as a good friend but as a brother and apart of our family. You lived past your expectations and was always there for the family. You brought life to my dad and made him laugh and smile the way no other person could. I saw Paul last week at Home Depot and he was asking for my Husband and I and hoped all was well. I told him we were great but we stopped going to bars. I told him I hopped his Biss was doing great. He asked us to stop in sometime and I told REB and he said WHY NOT. SOOO weird all this happened OUR condolences goes too all od you.. the VOMBACCO"S AND THE KOGUTS and everyone who knew him. RIP

To Paul's Family, extended family & friends: My heart goes out to all of you, I met Paul several years ago as business has brought me to Meriden many times a year. We met through QT and I just spent about two hours speaking with him about three weeks ago. I was shocked at the tragic news, Paul's heart was larger than his stature and I feel a better person for knowing him. Met Pauly for the first time and only time a few weeks ago. We all spent hours talking about the 80's and sharing stories about what we shananagans we go away with back in High School. I told him he was a "Real kind Soul". I normally wouldn't say this to someone - but I really meant it.
