Robert Kuehl Obituary

Robert P. Kuehl Sr., 81, of Plantsville, died peacefully with his family by his side Feb. 21, 2012, at the Summit of Plantsville. He was the loving husband of Kathleen (Hoben) Kuehl for 49 years.

He was born in West Haven Oct. 12, 1930, to the late Henry and Marion (Weise) Kuehl, he was a longtime Cheshire resident before moving to Plantsville 10 years ago. He served his country in Germany in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He loved his life, enjoying the beach and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Kathleen E. Ramos and her husband, Orlando, of Waterbury; his son, Robert P. Kuehl Jr. and his wife, Jacqueline (Enright) Kuehl, of Cheshire and David H. Kuehl, of Albany, N.Y.; three grandsons, Matthew Ramos, Benjamin Kuehl and Nicholas Ramos; and three granddaughters, Stephanie Ramos, Margaret Kuehl, and Mary Kuehl. He was predeceased by his brother, Henry Kuehl Jr. and his sister, Marion Dube.

The service was held Feb. 25, 2012, at the Church of the Epiphany, Cheshire. Burial was at the convenience of the family. Plantsville. Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100,Rocky Hill, CT 06067 or the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road Ste. 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
