William Priebe Obituary
He was born Nov. 7, 1960 in Meriden, a son of the late Howard W. and Shirley (Hubball) Priebe. He attended local schools and graduated from Platt High School and from Middlesex Community College with an associate's degree in Business. He was previously employed with AT&T. Billy was a sports enthusiast, he was an avid runner, even running in the Boston Marathon several times. He was a diehard Red Sox fan and wouldn't miss a Cleaveland Browns or UConn Husky game.
He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, Patricia, he is survived by his four children, Erica, Alexandra, Zachary and Nicholas Priebe, all of Meriden; five sisters, Gayle Priebe, Marlene and her husband, James Bevacqua, Lynn and her husband, Richard Trombley, and Karen Mingrino, all of Meriden and Wendy and her husband, Richard Silverman of Middletown; and one brother, Howard Priebe of Meriden; he also leaves his nieces and nephews, Jeff Priebe, Amanda Trombley, Paul and Danny Mingrino and Olivia, Emma and Garrett Silverman.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, Oct. 27 at 11 a.m. at the Hubbard Chapel at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden. The Rev. Susan DeSousa will officiate. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden on Sunday, Oct. 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. To send a condolence please see obituary at www.beecherandbennett.com.

To the entire Priebe Family : I was shocked and deeply saddened by the news of Bills passing. I don't recieve the Meriden newspaper in Southington, so I did not recieve the news until 11/20/08. Bill and I, along with Tom Shernow, were great friends throughout high school and long after graduation. Each of us went out into the world to forge our own lives and, as life so often does, that journey took us down seperate paths to a point where we eventually lost touch with one another.
I will always remember Bill fondly as a great friend with a great family and charish the many memories of the times I shared with him and your entire family.
I am so deeply sorry for your loss and regret not having been there for the services.

I was very surprised and saddend to hear of Billy's passing. I have very fond memories of him and our childhood in South Meriden. The last few times I saw him was at the Fun Run, with both our daughters, several years ago. May God bless his soul and watch over his family.

Please accdept my sincerest condolences. I wish I could have been there to comfort you in person, however I just heard of Bill's passing. As you know Bill and I ran together through the 70's and 80's. I remember you and your first daughter being at each Meriden Summer run, cheering us all on as we follwed in Bill's footsteps. To the Priebe family please accept my heart felt condolences for your loss. Billy was a great person, friend, runner, and competitor. I will always remember the long runs from his h ouse in Meriden. He had a great sence of humor and always made me laugh. I regret not keeping in closer touch will Billy over the past several year, you never know what lies ahead in life. I will miss him.
