Yolanda Urbanetti Obituary

Yolanda (Martorelli) Urbanetti, 88, wife of Julius Joseph Urbanetti, died on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Midstate Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born in Belvedere Marittimo, Calabria, Italy on September 29, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Frank Paul and Rose (D'Amico) Martorelli.

She was employed as head seamstress at Feldman's for over 20 years and International Silver Co. for many years prior. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and was a member of the OLMC Society. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she found enjoyment in cooking, baking, gardening and being surrounded by her family. Casino trips were her favorite.

Besides her loving husband Joe, she is survived by her son, Dino (Donna Luca) Urbanetti; her daughters, Rosalina (Carl) Monarca, Michele Wasef and Laura Urbanetti; her grandchildren, Samantha (Trevor) Rivera, James Wasef, Delaney Ruiz, Selena Lopez and Carl and Luke Monarca; her sisters, Antoinette LaRosa and Gloria Martorelli; and many nieces, nephews, and family in Italy.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Pasquale and Antonio Martorelli, Marianna and Paul Martorelli, Dominic LaRosa and son-in-law, Edward Ruiz. A special thanks to nephew, Dan LaRosa for his endless time and support. Our "Momma Yolanda" will be greatly missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service to be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 250 Gypsy Lane, Meriden. Arrangements are under the direction of the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, CT 06450.
