Brian Cornwell Obituary
Greenfield, MA - It is with sadness that the family of Brian D. Cornwell announces his passing. Brian had been missing for over two years and his remains were recently found on an island in the Connecticut River.
Born in Athol on March 5, 1963, Brian was the youngest child of Earl and Shirley (Kidder) Cornwell Sr. He grew up in Greenfield and attended Franklin County Technical School.
Brian was an avid Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics fan. When he was younger, he liked four-wheeling in his Landcruiser. Brian also enjoyed listening to music and riding his bicycle.
Brian leaves behind his brothers Gary Cornwell of Orange, Donald (Paulette) Cornwell of Florida, Robert (Catherine) Cornwell of Orange, Richard Cornwell of Bernardston, Kenneth Cornwell of Greenfield, Daryl (Dianne) Cornwell of Northfield and sister Sharon McLean of Athol. He also leaves sister-in-law Geraldine Cornwell of Erving, brother-in-law Harry Brown of Orange, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Brian was predeceased by brothers Earl Jr., Howard, Rodney and David Cornwell and sister Linda Brown.
Services will be private.

I'm so sorry for the family's loss. Anyone who was local knew Brian. He was always smiling...riding his bike and just...well trying to find a place in this world we live. He was kind generous to a fault. I will always think of him as the care free Spirit. I hope he's resting in peace and may justis be done. May you SMILE ON HEAVENS DOOR!
