Deborah Benware Obituary

Deborah Benware

Greenfield, MA - Deborah L. Benware who was born in San Diego, CA on 1/14/1952 to Charles and Dorothy Saunders passed away peacefully on Christmas morning 12/25/2025 surrounded by her family at Regalcare in Greenfield, Ma.

She was a kindhearted free spirit who saw the world through a kaleidoscope of color, art and crystals. She taught us that life is a canvas, and she wasn't afraid to use the brightest paints, or hair color. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and pets Simon(parrot) and Garfunkle(cat) who were like children to her.

She leaves behind her daughters and their spouses Melody/Joseph and Harmony/Dana as well as her grandchildren Katie, Daniel/Rachel, Cheyenne, Shelby and her great grandchild Jayson. She also leaves behind her brothers Charles and James, her sister Becky who was also her best friend as well as several nieces and nephews. She was reunited with her Parents, brother Robert and sisters Pamela and Wendy.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Resident Council at Regalcare of Greenfield. The family would like to thank the staff at Regalcare for all the love and care, sorry for all the glitter and thank you to Hospice for their support, especially Jeanette.

My sister who was exceptionally artistic. She will be missed. I used to talk to her almost every day and will miss her voice telling me "Hold on a minute Jim". Deb and I spent most of our childhood in the same foster home and she watched out for me like a big sister would. Deb you meant so much to everyone even if you didn´t think you did. Rest in Peace my sister until we meet again I love you

She was not just a sister but a best friend. We talked almost every day and we spoke of our lives as children and we spoke often of all our brothers and sisters. Her love was her art, her pets and her family. I will miss her until we meet again my sister. Know you meant everything to people even when you didn´t think you did. Love knows no distance but it only knows what´s in the heart.
