White River Junction, VT - Doris Brown Benware, 99, died at Valley Terrace on July 25, 2025. She was born September 13, 1925 in Rochester, VT, the daughter of Maxwell and Mina Brown. She attended schools in Rochester, VT.

Doris was married in 1945 to Adeloid Benware; they were married for sixty-eight years before Adeloid's passing. They lived in White River Junction, VT before settling in Plainfield, NH.

In 1955, the couple purchased Joe's Equipment in West Lebanon, NH and operated the business until 1978. Following retirement, they spent winters in Edgewater, FL but remained NH residents during their entire marriage. Doris and Ad were both life members of Grafton County Fish and Game Association, Inc.

Doris was predeceased by her two sisters and five brothers. She is survived by one brother, Russel Brown of Galion, OH. She was also predeceased by her oldest son, James and her son-in-law, Richard Paul. She is survived by a son, Stanley (Pamela) of Fairlee, VT, daughter, Christine Paul of Claremont, NH and daughter-in-law, Susan Benware of Enfield, NH, six grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on September 13, 2025 (what would have been her 100th. birthday) at Olivet Baptist Church, 44 Maple St, West Lebanon, NH followed by a time of fellowship and light luncheon.
