South Deerfield, MA - We said goodbye to our beloved Jason Michael Wan, 35 years old. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, March 16th at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, from a sudden illness. He was born March 19th, 1989 in Greenfield, he grew up in South Deerfield and attended Frontier Regional High School.

He was a lover of art, plants, flowers, animals and he was a collector of curious and quirky items. He loved his family most of all, who always surrounded him with their love, even until the end. He was the star of the show and he brought joy to all with his incredible sense of humor, and his impersonations. He could change the words to any song to make it his own and would brighten everyone's day.

He worked several jobs during his precious life, he brought comfort to many as a nursing aid. He was also a caterer, a cook, and did retail. He truly thrived working in nature with plants and flowers.

He enjoyed summers in Maine, his favorite place, where his family would meet together, including all his Aunts, Uncles and cousins and especially his favorite cousin Nicholas.

He leaves behind his mother Susan Ralicki Wan, his father Michael Wan of Sunderland, MA, his sisters, Lindsay Wan, Kaleigh Wan, and Julia Wan and his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Mildred Podlesney Ralicki and Bronick Ralicki of Sunderland and paternal grandparents Carrie Lampron Wan and Charles Wan of Northampton.

The family will be having a private burial, and a memorial to celebrate his life will be held this summer. He will be missed by many, his legacy of humor and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
