I was shocked to find Laura's name among the obituaries last week. I really miss the time we spent together as teenage cousins. She made my time at Ames Department Store bearable. I have such fond memories of her giggling. She was a very special person and a great friend. I'm so sorry Tammy, Lee, and Elaine and Seth, Megan, and Troy.

I don't even know how to begin to express my sorrow for Laura's family. I just recently learned of her passing and am still unable to comprehend it.
She was a star that always shinned so bright, and her love for her children was unmeasurable.
As my mind drifts back and reflects on the parts of her life that I was blessed to share in, I find myself with her at CCS, on Church St in Colrain and at MTRHS. Laura was rightly empowered to not follow rules for the sake of following them; a logical explanation was always required. And don't ever bother answering with, "because I said so" as that never got very far with Laura!
Her energy seemed limitless. Her spirit strong and determined, but never to be mistaken for harsh or mean spirited. On the contrary, at her center she was a caring, compassionate and loving person and that is how I will remember her.
Please know that I am thinking of you all and praying that God comfort you during this unimaginable time. Sent with a heavy heart and much love.
