Robert Newton Obituary
Lanesboro, MA — Robert "Bob" Arthur Newton, 72, of Lanesboro, MA, passed away July 6, 2022 at Berkshire Medical Center.
Bob was born in Greenfield, MA on February 12, 1950 to Albert and Ina Hill Newton. He was a 1970 graduate of Greenfield High School.
He married the former Darlene Herron on May 22, 1976.
Mr. Newton was a welder for many years at J.H. Maximillian.
He enjoyed his cats and dogs, agriculture but most of all, spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Darlene Newton of Lanesboro. Three sons, Mathew Newton (Lynda Tenorio) of Pittsfield, Michael Newton (Heather Burns) of Pownal, VT, and Douglas Newton (Felicia Newton) of Lanesboro. Two sisters, Elaine Barnes (Steve) of Putney, VT, and Mary Harbourt (Robert) of Bernardston, MA. Two brothers, Carl Newton of Turners Falls, MA and William Newton of Northfield, MA. Seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Elliott, Lyam, Elaina, Oliver, Phoebe, and Wattson Newton.
Bob was predeceased by a son, Craig Newton.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held, Monday, July 11, 2022 at 11 a.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, celebrated by Rev. Noreen Suriner. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery in Williamstown. Calling hours will be held, Sunday, July 10, 2022 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made out to FFA Chapter at Smith Vocational High School in care of Dery Funeral Home.

We all remember Bobby as he was always doing chores for everyone on Bald mountain road inBernardston.He would mow lawns,rake leaves and clear up brush.I went to school with him at Vocational school also.Deepest sympathy,John Norrish.
