Roger Gould Obituary
Northfield, MA - Roger H. Gould, 90 of Northfield, MA, died Saturday (12-16-2023) at Baystate Franklin Medical Center, Greenfield, MA with his family by his side. He was born September 22, 1933 in Vernon, VT, the son of Harold and Gladys (Reed) Gould. Roger graduated from Brattleboro High School, Brattleboro, VT in 1951, the last class to graduate from the old school. He was employed as a sawyer at Smead Lumber Co. in Vernon, VT and later for Beaman Lumber Co. in Winchester, NH. He also worked early in life for the Unitas farm in Vernon, VT. In retirement he went to work for Laid Law Bus Co.
He married Marjorie "Micky" Doolittle on February 2, 1952. They shared their life with their three daughters, Sharon Black and husband Burt, Roxene Shedd and husband Peter, and Jeannie Sulda and husband Chris. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister Shirley Fournier of Vernon, VT and many nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed cross word puzzles, card playing, but loved square dancing, bowling, and his family.
There will be a graveside service in the spring in Tyler Cemetery, Vernon, VT at a time to be announced.
There are no calling hours.

Remember the many card games played with Uncle Roger, my dad, and my grandfather. The many square dances we went to as a part of the foursome. The many horseshoe games we played. These are my best memories from my childhood. Rest in peace Uncle Roger.
