David Davis Obituary

Dave Davis born February 10, 1940 passed away on December 30, 2013 in Lindsay. He was 73 years old.
Born in New Castle, PA to Herbert and Mildred Davis, Dave spent four years in the United States Navy stationed at Lemoore NAS.
In 1965 he married Nancy Dye of Strathmore, and they made their home in Lindsay. Dave worked for General Cable Corp. for 10 years, and Knudsen Creamery/Kraft Foods, until his retirement in 2000.
David was an avid bass fisherman, spending many hours on area lakes, often mentoring new fishermen. He also enjoyed spending the day on the golf course, dove hunting and watching his granddaughters play softball.
Dave is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nancy; his daughter, Dena Kendig and her husband, Brett Kendig; his son, Bill Davis and his wife, Stephanie; and his granddaughters, Hayley and Kassidy Kendig; his two sisters, Sally Stone of Alabama and Janet Wilkin of Kentucky; and his fishing partner Eric Arbelo, who was like a son to him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 10a.m. to 12p.m. at Lindsay Wellness Center, 860 N. Sequoia Ave. Remembrances may be made care of Lindsay High School Baseball Boosters, 1849 E. Tulare Road, Lindsay, CA 93247.

Dave was a great Uncle. Loved Hunting and Fishing with him when I was young. He was a man's man, and influenced me greatly. He will be missed.
