Frederick Nichols Obituary

Frederick Nichols Sr.
(1949-2013)
Fred was born in Chicago, IL on September 29, 1949. He was a loving brother, father and grandfather. He passed away on Friday, May 17, 2013 in Lake Havasu, Arizona.
Fred has been a resident of Bullhead City since 2006, and is survived by his Sister Deborah Guise of Bullhead City, sons Ernest Nichols and Frederick Jr., daughters Angela Cardwell and Alison Maniss, five grandsons, one granddaughter, one niece and one nephew, all of California.
Fred was a Viet-Nam war vet serving onboard the USS Constellation CVS-64 and USS Ticonderoga CVA 14, both of which were also used as the recovery ships for Apollo 16, 17, and the first Sky Lab mission.
Fred enjoyed barbecuing and cooking for anyone that was hungry. He also just discovered a love of art and was an Art major at MCC. Special shout out to his instructors, Heidi, Terri and Debbie for his improvements in the world of Art.
Mass will be held at St. Anne's Church, 378 N. F Street, Porterville, CA 93257, at 11am on Friday, May 31, 2013. A Military Salute and reception will be held immediately after mass at Porterville Veteran's Memorial Building, 1900 W. Olive Ave, Porterville, CA 93257.
