George Robert Verduzco Sr.

George Robert Verduzco Sr. a longtime resident of Lindsay, California, died peacefully on January 6, 2017 at Kaweah Delta Hospital, Visalia, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 22, 1930 in Madera, California to Jose Maria and Soledad Verduzco. He was predeceased by his wife the former Elisa M. Verduzco who died on January 24, 2014. George is survived by his children George (Shirley) Verduzco Jr of Sacramento, CA, Ishmael Verduzco of Lindsay, CA, Arturo (Michele) Verduzco of Hanford, CA, daughter Elisa (Steve) Cook of Lake Arrowhead, CA, Fernando (Jennifer) Verduzco of McDonald, TN and sole surviving brother Johnny Verduzco. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. His family was his greatest source of pride and happiness.
George Sr. served in the army during the Korean War and lived the latter portion of his life in Tulare County where he worked in various aspects of construction. He was a charter member of the Lindsay Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church where he served in different responsibilities including deacon and elder. The faithfulness exhibited throughout his life is an inspiration to us all.
Visitation for George Verduzco Sr. will be at 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the Lindsay Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church, 588 East Honolulu Street, Lindsay, California, 559-562-4537.
Funeral Services will be at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Lindsay Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church in Lindsay, California. Interment will follow at the Lindsay-Strathmore Cemetery, 639 S. Foothill Avenue, Lindsay, California.
