Michael William Bowers

1947 - 2021

Michael William Bowers, 74, of Porterville, California, passed from this earthly life into his Saviors arms on December 4th, 2021. Mike (Michael) was a Journeyman Meat Cutter for over 20 years and worked in the Logging Industry in Northern California for 3 years. His affection for the mountains brought him to Tollhouse, Ca. in 1979, where he built a log cabin and fenced in 5 acres for himself and his family. In 1997, he became a resident of Porterville where he could be close to his children and grandchildren. He attended countless sporting events and was there to support every achievement that his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were part of. He cared for and served his family and his church family in many ways throughout the years, right up until his last days. He was famous for his chile verde, macaroni salad, home cured olives, and smoked salmon which he enjoyed sharing with family and friends.
Mike is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon Bowers; children Krista Rollans (Ken Rollans) and Jeff Bowers (Emily Bowers); grandchildren Ashley Padilla (Robbie Padilla), Kaylee Orozco (Eric Orozco), Andrianna Fronke (Ryan Fronke), Mary Hazel Hughes (Will Hughes), Luke Bowers, and Noah Bowers, great-grandchildren Cameron Rollans, Paxton Maynor, Jacoby Padilla, Brody Cordon, Brenliegh Hughes, Remi Hughes, Joaquin Padilla, Judah Fronke, with 2 baby girls on the way.
The family welcomes all who would like to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 15th, 11 am-12pm with a luncheon following and including his famous macaroni salad at Living Word Fellowship Church, 1150 W. Pioneer, Porterville, Ca. 93257.
