Allen, It's been a year. You are so missed. He talks as if your'e still here, In his heart you still are. He brings things in from outside and says, my Dad would like this (feathers from different animals) just things that remind him of you.
When the grass was growing in the spring, he went to you. He came home an told me that the grass where you lay is taller than any where else. He misses you so very much, he always will. We all do.

GRANDPA THIS LAST YEAR WITHOUT YOU HAS BEEN SO UNBELIEVABLE, I KNOW YOUR IN A MUCH BETTER PLACE THAN WE ALL ARE BUT NOT SEEING YOU FACE TO FACE BECAUSE I DO SEE YOU IN MY HEAD ALL THE TIME NOT BEING ABLE TO HUG OR GIVE YOU A KISS ON THE CHEEK JUST HURTS SO MUCH. I TRULY DON'T BELIEVE THE PAIN WILL EVER GO AWAY. BUT I DO LIVE EACH DAY SO PROUD TO HAVE HAD YOU AS MY GRANDPA. I KNOW YOUR ALWAYS LOOKING DOWN ON ME AND THAT ONE DAY I WILL BE ABLE TO HUG YOU AGAIN. I TRULY BELIEVE THAT WE WILL MEET AGAIN. GOD IS GOOD. I HAVE SUCH A VIVID PICTURE OF YOUR CUTE SMILE IN MY HEAD RIGHT NOW. I WILL NEVER FORGET THE MANY MEMORIES WE HAVE SHARED. EVEN WHEN I DRIVE OUT TO SEE GRANDMA OR WHEN I DROVE UP TO VISIT DAD AND DEB I GO BACK TO MY CHILDHOOD AND ALL THE TRIPS WE'VE MADE TOGETHER AND THE CONVESATIONS WE WOULD HAVE ON THOSE ROADS. OR THE FIELDS THAT WE WOULD DO THE HAY. I NEVER IMAGINED HOW HARD IT WOULD BE TO LOSE SOMEONE YOU LOVE SO MUCH. I GET SO MANY SIGNS THAT YOU ARE WITH ME PASSING HAY FIELDS,OLD TRACTORS ON TRAILERS ON THE HIGHWAY, HORSES,COWS AND OH YES THE GOATS YOU SEE WHEN DRIVING IN THE COUNRTY OR THE MOUNTAINS. AND FOR ALL THE TEARS I'VE CRIED LISTENING TO THAT GOOD OLD COUNTRY MUSIC. THEY HAVE SO MANY SONGS THAT MAKE ME THINK OF YOU AND OF YOU AND GRANDMA.I PRAY AND TALK TO YOU DAILY SOMETIMES EVEN OUT LOUD. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE LOVED AND NEVER FORGOTTEN GRANDPA. I LOVE YOU YESTERDAY,TODAY,TOMORROW, AND ALWAYS YOUR GRANDDAUGHTER,LORI

I thought of you today,
but that is nothing new.
I thought of you yesterday and will tomorrow, too.

I think of you in silence
and make no outward show.
For what it meant to lose you
only those who love you know.

Remembering you is easy,
I do it everyday.
It's the heartache of losing you
that will never go away.

I miss you.

There are some things I want to say about my grandpa...
Let me start off my saying that my grandpa was THE BEST GRANDPA IN THE WORLD. He was always there for me, the one person that I could always count on for anything. He truly cared about me and my family. In my eyes no one could fill his shoes(BOOTS). I was always so proud of my grandpa, the kind of person he was.
My grandpa was a shy, funny, caring, honest, hardworking REAL COWBOY.
Growing up my grandpa was my hero, always there to protect and care for me. Now he's my angel, and I thank God every day for giving me a grandpa like him.
I have so many memories but you know there not really just memories at all, there my tresures.
So I have a very rich broken heart right now. I will keep his cute little smile and bright blue eyes sketched in my head forever.
My loss is heaven's gain.
Allen James Moore, he's one of a kind.
Love Julie

Reading Jacki's entry reminded me of how much Uncle Allen liked to watch the rodeo on TV. We would often talk about the Mesquite rodeo that is here in Texas. I am also reminded of how he liked to watch Jerry Springer back in the 90s. Uncle Allen and Aunt Dorthy were the only other people that would admit to being Springer fans with me! Miss you Uncle Allen :(

Dear Grandpa, So many wonderful memories I carry in my heart. You worked very hard everyday. You enjoyed being outside. You shared many stories about your childhood in your last years with us. You loved Three's Company and Wrestling, oh how you'd laugh. That laughter was contagious. These are just a few things that I remember. What a blessing to have those memories.... And what a comfort to know that you have been taken away to paridise. We often wonder what paridise might be like. Some day we'll Know...We'll be seein' ya... And to my Beautiful Grandmother, I pray for the healing of your heart, that only the Lord can provide. I pray that you stay close to Him and allow Him to help you carry your heavy load. - Amen

To All, My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time and always. I love you all so much!!!

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Uncle Allen will be dearly missed. I have fond memories as a child of coming out to the Broken Arrow and seeing him puttering around the place. I had the pleasure of meeting with him and the family in Tulsa a few years back for a reunion. It was clear that a part of his heart never left the Oklahoma of his youth. Uncle Allen was a true gentleman and adored his wife Dorothy. God speed.
