Constance J. Spanos, 82, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2009. Known affectionately by her family and friends as "Connie", she was born to Demetrios and Sarah Nitsos and raised in Oakland, CA, along with her sister Doris.

Her time and effort to lend a hand to those who were in need, especially those who were confined to their homes, was borne out of this love Her devotion to serve others was appreciated by the people she shared her time with.

Dear Gary, Vickie and Jimmy, My thoughts are with you. Your family was like my second family all those wonderful times in Pinecrest. Your mother was a great lady, she was always ready to listen and be supportive and loved the underdog.

Aunt Connie...your compassion, and unconditional love set the theme for many to move forward in their own lives and seek the treasure of living as you did so beautifully. Your offerings of human kindness and social and community generosity have gone mostly unhearlded as you set the example for the gift is truly in the giving. The lives you touched, the paths of many your altered, the differences you created for those who otherwise would not have had, speaks volumes to the quality of life you led. You embossed our paths with this gold and we are grateful.

Dear Vicki, My deepest condolences on the passing of your Mother. Although its been decades since I last saw her and for that matter you and your brothers, she was a great lady. I recall her offering me her garage so I could repair my Porsche. Your Dad was interested in how soon I was going to be done and Connie said "when he's finished" She also was a great cook! Wow! I remember eating a lambs head and thought I would not like it, to the contrary, it was great. To you and your brothers, again, my heart goes out to you.
