Dewey Coleman Conn

June 2, 1930 - Oct. 2, 2018

Dewey was born on June 2, 1930 in Hazel, Oklahoma to the late Robert and Goldie Conn, and passed away on October 2, 2018, in Stockton, California.

Dewey enlisted in the Army on January 2, 1949, where he served in the Korean War. Dewey received numerous medals, one being the Purple Heart. He received an Honorable Discharge on June 14, 1952. Dewey was the youngest of 7 children, 5 brothers and 1 sister, all of whom have preceded him in death. Dewey married the love of his life Elnora (Dodie) McGuire on September 13, 1952. They enjoyed many years of marriage until her death in February of 2007.

They had 5 children, LaQueta Audette, Roger Conn (Pam), Brenda Conn, Sandy Pruitt (Allen), and Donna Villagomez (Sam). Dewey was preceded in death by his Daughter Brenda Conn and Grandson Randy Conn. Dewey has 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grand children, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dewey enjoyed golfing, fishing and camping. He loved having backyard BBQ's with his family and friends (John and Betty Slaughterback). He and mom enjoyed trips to Tahoe and Boomtown. He also enjoyed family card games.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 1:00pm, at Cherokee Memorial Park. Viewing will be on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 9:00am to 12:00pm in the Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park.
