Donna Marie Ferrera
October 17, 1939 - April 20, 2010
Donna Marie Ferrera, age 70, on April 20, 2010, Donna unexpectedly became our guardian angel.
She loved her family with her whole heart; Mike and Cathy Otte and cherished granddaughter Nicole. She was born on October 17, 1939 in San Francisco and she lived in and loved Stockton for over 40 years.
For the last 8 years Donna was both a volunteer and a receptionist at Hospice of San Joaquin. She loved helping families get through sad moments in their lives. Whether it was her counsel, her checkbook, or her time, she was the one who gave the most and asked the least. On every property tax obligation she paid, she sent a note to the tax collector saying, "Out of all the checks I write, I hate this one the most!"
She was a devoted Mother to Mike. Cathy was the daughter she never had, and granddaughter Nicole was the sparkle in her eye that lit up Grammy's smile whenever Nic entered the room. Her loyalty to QVC will never fade!
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 30th, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flowers at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 & Harney Lane, Lodi, Chaplain Jim Russow of Hospice of San Joaquin officiating. Committal will be private in the Gospels Urn Garden.
In Donna's honor, please give generously to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave, Stockton, CA 95204. The family will appreciate your online tributes at www.cherokeememorial.com

Donna was truly one of the kindest, sweetest and most giving individuals it has ever been my privilege to know. She always had something positive to say and always had a smile on her face. It was a joy to work with her. My love and sympathy to her family. My heart breaks with yours.
