Enda Maguire Obituary
June 6, 1933 - October 18, 2016
In Lodi, CA, October 18, 2016, Reverend Enda Maguire passed away. The son of the late Joseph and Celia Maguire, he was born in Kiltyclogher, County Leitrim, Ireland on June 6, 1933. He was ordained to the priesthood on June 14, 1959 for the Diocese of Sacramento, CA where he served as an Associate Pastor of Sacred Heart,
Sacramento, 1959 to 1960; St. Isidore's, Yuba City, 1960 to 1962. Incardinated into the newly formed Diocese of Stockton in 1962, he served as Associate Pastor of St. Stanislaus,
Modesto, 1962 to 1965; Sacred Heart, Turlock, 1965 to 1966; St. Patrick's, Angels Camp, 1966 to 1967; St. Anne's, Lodi, 1967 to 1971; Pastor of St. Frances of Rome, Riverbank, 1971 to 1981; Holy Cross, Linden, 1981 to 1995; St. Joachim, Lockeford, 1995 to 2004; Pastor Emeritus, St. Joachim, Lockeford, 2004 to 2016.
He is survived by his brother, Frank and his wife, Kit, and their children Sheila, John, Robbie and Jeremy; his sister Mary and her husband, Colum and their children Colum Jr., Martin, Bridget, and Nora; his brother, Val and his wife, Berna, and their children, Isabel, Garret and Nessa and Kevin and his wife, Bridget.
He loved a round of golf, a day fishing on a lake, and became a big fan of American football. Thanksgiving dinners with his Washington cousins in the Bay Area were a grand time of eating, drinking and playing cards.
A Vigil Service will be held at
St. Joachim Church, 13392 Lockeford Ranch Rd. Lockeford, CA, Monday, November 7, 2016, at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joachim Church on Tuesday,
November 8, 2016 at 10:00 am

Enda Maguire held a special place in our hearts and home for our family for more than 50 years. We loved him as family. The late Louise, Christiane, Ross, Michael and John McKennas

Thank you Father, for blessing our house, baptizing two of our children and training our son to be an altar boy. Thank you for guiding our daughters to sing at Mass and for all you did to preserve the Truth of our Holy Faith. We loved you dearly while you were our pastor at Holy Cross and remember you fondly. You and those you love will be in our prayers.
