Helen Louise Scanavino
October 14, 1921 - July 26, 2008
Helen Louise Scanavino, 86, passed away on July 26, 2008. She was born in Linden and relocated to Stockton after she married the late John Scanavino of Stockton. She spent her days making a home for her family. She also enjoyed reading and taking care of her garden.
Helen leaves behind her daughters, Jean (John) Bryant of Santa Rosa and Susan (Reggie) Owen of Livermore; 2 grandsons, John Bryant and Benjamin Bryant; and sister, Lillian Mathews of Stockton. The family would like to thank Wendy Mendoza for the care she provided to Helen these past two years. Wendy became more than a caregiver, she became a close friend to our mother.
Friends and family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 3847 N. Sutter Street, Stockton, on Friday, August 1, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at the DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California Street, Stockton, on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 and Thursday, July 31, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Committal will be at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery following the mass.

Thank you jean and susan for giving me the opportunity to work for your mom for the past two years, she was a wonderful person with a great heart and very easy to get along with. I am going to miss her very much and i know its going to be very hard to find someone to work for like her and her family.
