John Perez Dominguez
November 24, 1924 - May 30, 2008
Mr. Dominguez was born in Amarillo, TX on November 24, 1924 to Isauro and Natividad Dominguez. He married Consuelo Leal in 1946 at Amarillo she preceded him in death in 1999. He was a plant foreman for Gilvin-Terrill for 35 years before retiring. One of his enjoyments in life was working at the family booth at the T-Anchor Flea Market for the past 28 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Mr. Dominguez was also preceded in death by three sisters Leonor Arevalo, Florencia Coronado and Susana Casillas and by three brothers Cruz Dominguez, Antonio Dominguez and Benancio Dominguez. He is survived by one daughter, Velia Palacio and husband Greg; one sister, Socorro Casillas and husband Roger of Stockton, CA; two brothers, Dario Dominguez and wife Lucia and Isauro Dominguez and wife Mary all of Stockton, CA; special grandson, Greg Palacio, Jr.; special nephew Benny Dominguez and wife Lupe of Amarillo; special nieces Lucy Garcia and husband Ruben and Mary Maes and husband Johnny all of Amarillo. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Brian Malone, Dr. Lane Cox, Dr. Sloan Teeple, Dr. Chiyyarath Sreenivasan and the Accolade Nurses Tammy, Sam, Lori and Kellee for all their loving care.
Services were held at a previous date. Burial: Llano.

Tio, I know that Distance and Time has kept us away from each other for many years, however, I just want you to know that I have always loved you sooo. much ! I will always cherish the memories of you, my tia Chelo and Velia when you would come to Stockton and see us. I always felt like it was a great HOLIDAY !! Me and my brother's especially Angel, would just love the way you would pick us up and toss us around...I just remember giggling and laughing out loud for hours. And the memory of you and my papa-abeullo and all the other Uncles around the fire in the back yard, signing and playing instruments.. Guitars and accordions, my papa playing the harmonica.. It's sad to know that the future generations will never get to have the wonderful memories we have. WE LOVE YOU TIO..
You & my Tio Cruz (as are all my tio's & tia's) were so special to me, I have missed you for many years but I always felt you were near, now, my heart feels broken.
I'm sure that my brother Angel was waiting for you along with all our other family that is up there..Please tell Angel, Yaya & Papa & all the family that we love them and miss them too.
Velia, My prayers and special wishers are for you and your family. I can't begin to imagine how you are feeling -- please just know that we may be far away, but we are here for you all. Distance has not changed our love for you and all my family there. Please let us know if there is anything we can do .. love you always,
