I was very sorry to hear of Ron’s passing and my thoughts and prayers go out to Barbara and family. I worked for ARC of San Joaquin’s vocational program from 1995 until the summer of 2000 and greatly appreciated the guidance and professionalism Ron brought to the agency. He was always there if someone had a question or concern. Prior to Ron’s retirement, I requested a letter of recommendation from him, as I would be leaving as well to pursue a career in education. He provided me with an outstanding letter that I utilized in obtaining a teaching position and my current position as a principal.
I greatly appreciate the role Ron played in my life and my career. He was a great leader, advocate, and person. He will be missed by all.
Sincerely,
Honey and Bob Lilienstein

Dear Barbara, Stella and Dawn,
I am so shocked to hear of Rons passing. I was in Wyoming this past week and out of touch. I often thought about Ron, even though we seldom contacted each other. The memories of our early years together working @ Melody Market, commuting to school together, camping trips, double-dating and even tossing coins against the steps, I will cherish forever. Ron was my best friend and I will never forget him. My deepest condolences to all of you.

Dear Barbara:
I met you a long time ago at a function-actually several functions. I worked for Ron at VRI for 11years. I was the first job coach he hired for the supported employment program VRI had started. Ron was a wonderful man and I was sorry when I had to leave, but my late wife had been diagnosed with alzheimers and I needed to take care of her.
Ron was one of the most understanding and compassionate people I have ever met.He will be missed and I want to offer my deepest sympathy to you and your family.God bless you all.

Ron was also a fellow volunteer for the Stockton Animal Shelter Friends, lending his expertise in nonprofit management to help homeless pets. The first time I met Ron, we connected as "kindred spirits" in our care and concern for the many animals at the Stockton pound. Although not a "cat" person, Ron and Barbara fostered mom cats and their kittens, nurturing them into happy adoptive homes. They were a great team! I deeply valued Ron's friendship and guidance, and am very sad that he is no longer a part of our earthly existence. God Bless and keep him, and his family, and comfort them.
