Aidan McGorman Obituary

Formerly of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY

Aidan P. McGorman, age 66, of Sharon Springs, NY, formerly of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, April 10, 2010.

Aidan was born March 1, 1944 in Dublin, Ireland and was adopted by Mary and Owen McGorman of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY.

Aidan graduated from St. Patrick's Catholic High School in 1962 and later became a staff sergeant in the United States Army. He then worked in construction for many years before beginning a 15-year career at Roadway Express which led him to retirement in March 2009.

Aidan was predeceased by his parents, Owen and Mary McGorman, and a sister, Mary Agnes.

Survivors include his two sons, Christopher of Plattsburgh and Patrick and his wife, Megan of Columbus, GA; two daughters, Kerry of New York and Megan Davis and her husband, Michael of Cornwall-on-Hudson; and two grandsons, Patrick McGorman and Aidan Davis.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall-on-Hudson on Friday, April 30, at 11 a.m.

Donations may be made in Aidan's honor to Rosary Hill Nursing Home, 600 Linda Ave., Hawthorne, NY 10532-1362; 914-769-0114.
