Altoona, FL
Americk Victor D'Addio, 79 of Altoona, FL, formerly of Ocala, FL, passed away on February 9, 2021. He was born on March 15, 1941 to his parents, Clemente and Clementina (Vigliotti) D'Addio in Newburgh, NY.
For Americk's education, he graduated from Newburgh Free Academy and then achieved a BS and MA in Physical Education from the State University of New York at Cortland. He served as a Physical Education Teacher and later as the Athletic Director of the Newburgh School District. Americk loved golfing, gardening, and was a member of the Osiris Country Club, Optimist Club, Charter Member of NFA Gridiron Boosters Club, and was on the YMCA Board of Directors. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Americk is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joan D'Addio; son, Dr. Victor J. D'Addio and daughter-in-law, Christina D'Addio; grandchildren: Joseph, Nicholas, and Sara.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Anthony D'Addio, Luigi D'Addio; and sister, Hortense Pascale.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your local hospice providers.

Joan and family. I was very saddened to learn of Ric's passing. Fond memories of Ric as a classmate and a teammate. Great pic of Harry Schwarz, myself and Ric in our yearbook. I fondly recall Ric as my dance partner for two dance classes. what a pair! Joan, be well and be safe.

Joan & Family: My family and I are very sorry for Rick's passing and offer our deepest sympathies to you. Besides working with him throughout my years at NECSD, my children went to New Windsor Elementary School where you became intertwined with us as well. Rick was a wonderful man, educator, family man and friend. He was a mentor to Lou early in his career and a good friend in their later in their careers. Rick was a champion for the student athletes in the Newburgh school district. My deepest sympathies to Joan and families. May your wonderful memories give you comfort.
