Christopher Ewald Obituary
Son of Steven W. and Halina Gorecki Ewald, he was born January 9, 1983 in Newburgh.
Christopher was a 2001 graduate of Valley Central High School. He attended Herkimer Community College and Daytona Beach College.
In addition to his loving parents at home, he is survived by his brother, Karl G. Ewald at home; his paternal grandparents, Donald and Joan Warren Ewald of Walden; his aunts, Veronica Schmidt of Fishkill, Carla Vitek and her husband Dave, and their daughter Autumn of Montgomery; his uncle, Glenn Ewald and his sons, Travis, Jesse and Seth of Walden.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Jan and Maria Lugova Gorecki; and great-grandmother, Mary Brodowski.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 6 at Brooks-DiDonato Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 7 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Newburgh.
Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, New Windsor.

Steve,Halena and Karl:
Mom called me early in the morning to tell me the bad news. Chris and i spent alot of time together as kids. We did alot of silly things that I won't forget. Im praying that god grants you all the strength and serenity to get you through this hard time. You have been in my thoughts. I will try and stop by next time I am in town.
