Clara 80 Obituary
Clara Freeman, wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, entered peacefully into eternal rest with her family by her side on Friday, December 12, 2008, at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY. She was 80.
Daughter of the late Charles and Antoinette Zanoni Bonora, she was born in Harrison, PA on April 24, 1928.
She was a parishioner and member of the Blue Army of Sacred Heart Church in Monroe.
Survivors include her husband, Richard, at home; son, Marc Freeman of Keansburg, NJ; daughter, Sharon Thorsen and husband, Richard of Monroe; brothers: Rudy Bonora and wife, Rose of Freeport, NY, Aldo Bonora of Denver, CO, Leo Bonora of Texas; sisters, Mary Bonora of Middletown and Rina Richter of Wurtsboro; three grandchildren: Christine & Eric Thorsen and Sienna Freeman; nieces, nephews and beloved and faithful companion, Lady Love. She was predeceased by a brother, Lee Bonora.
A family statement reads: "Clara's life, humor, love and strength to all she knew and touched will be greatly missed. Her strong faith and caring for all she knew was an inspiration. The memories she leaves behind as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend will be locked in our hearts forever."
Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 16, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe, NY.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 17, at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Still Rd., Monroe, NY. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Montgomery, NY.
Clara's family would like to give special thanks for the outstanding care given by the doctors and medical staff at Westchester Medical Center. They would like to extend special thanks to the ICU staff for their tireless efforts and compassion.
