Ella Epstein Obituary

Ella L. Epstein, formerly of Newburgh, a homemaker and area resident for many years, died Wed. Jan. 11, 2006 at the Hudson Valley Rehab and Extended Care Center. She was 78.

The daughter of the late Bernard Moore and Lena Woodruff Moore, she was born Oct. 16, 1927 in Newburgh.

She married Stanley Epstein on March 18, 1967 in Newburgh.

She is survived by her husband Stanley Epstein of Highland; son Mark Epstein of Newburgh; sisters, Dorothy Sargent of Middletown, Alice and husband Tim Rittle of Lebanon, Pa., Lillian Derrick of Ellensburg, Wash.; brothers, Ted and wife Teruko Moore of Yokosuka, Japan, David and wife Maria Moore Sr. of New Paltz; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Martha Draper and brothers Billy and Milo Moore.

Visitation hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, January 13 at the Copeland Funeral Home, Inc., 162 S. Putt Corners Rd., New Paltz.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 14 at the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.

Arrangements are by the Copeland Funeral Home, Inc.
