It was our pleasure to know you for so many years and to watch your littlest Angel grow up into a beautiful woman to be very proud of. Christmas is coming and we will once again reminisce about holidays past with the Cunninghams. You are always in our thoughts and we will always remember (in no specific order): Pollo Tropical, Spagetti & Meatballs, "puttering," newspapers at the pool with Uncle John, and many other fun things. You have a special place in our hearts.

Megan, Your Dad was a big part of my day from reading all of his (quite humorous) emails, listening to his offers of help while I was ill, to seeing him at The Eagle's Club and having 'our talks' while planning upcoming charity events. He was oh so proud of you Megan! Know that with each step you take, he's right along side of you if not pushing from behind...keep your goals in sight and always remember and cherish your Dad's love, he's in your heart, forever and ever. *Cindy Plant* Treasurer, Ladies Auxiliary Eagle's #544 and a friend.

Megan,
I remember Jim's quick wit and funny stories. Most of all I remember how he would light up when asked how you were doing. His good traits will live on in you always.

Megan,
Don Jim, as I always called your dad, was a wonderful person. I shared so many memorable moments with him, when you were a little girl. He loved you so much. He loved taking you to bed and reading a book. He always had a smile in his face. He brought so many gifts to my life, I will never forget him.

With caring thoughts,

We had the fortune to meet your dad in Miami and we are grateful for the wonderful person he was to my mom (Nani). He was always smiling and that’s how we will always remember him.

My uncle, my friend, words will never express the love and caring I have, or the inescapable void I feel with you gone. No more sorrow, only solace, knowing you are in a place where I will see you again with the ones we cherish. Slainte.

I still have a voicemail in my cell phone: "Hi, Masha, it's your favorite uncle Jim..", and when I go through new messages I always listen one that he sent me. For such a short time that I knew him, he really became my favorite uncle...He was always nice to me.
I am glad that life brought us together and I am sorry that not for long. Uncle Ros, I just want to thank you for all this memories that you left after yourself.
And thank you that made me believe in Santa Claus.

Ros - My dear brother, my forever friend and my P.I.C. Your sudden absence has left a void in my life, too large to fill and nothing will ever quite be the same. I miss our conversations, the laughs we always had and just knowing you were always there for me. I love you. I know we'll be together again. See you over the mountain.

Daddy,

I love you more than anything this world has to offer. Thank you for all of the memories, the great times we've shared, and the ice cream Mom never knew you gave me. I'll never forget our Christmas mailbox that we passed notes in, fishing, trips to the range, math homework, the club, turkey sandwiches, our matching Honda Civics and so much more... but most of all, I will never forget the look in your eyes when I walked across the stage to receive my diploma at my high school graduation. I wish you could be here for my college graduation, my wedding, my kids, and more, but I know you're in a better place.

Thanks for always being proud of me and loving me unconditionally. I couldn't have asked for anything more in a father, and am so blessed to have had you for as long as I did.

I love you so much.

Love,
Megapoo

I was very saddened by the news. I always remember the fun we had at Royal Green and how Jim made our working days brighter. I learned so much from him! He taught me all about the Irish and I'll never forget his tales about the nuns. I was looking forward to seeing him this summer . All my sympathy and love, La Contessa (that's how he called me)

What an Irish story teller Jim was! I loved to listen to the stories he fabricated for Megan before she went to sleep at night. The imaginary people came to life. He always had a story, a smile and a great sense of humor. I loved being at their house and listening to the Irish music. One can never have enough Irish, you know!

Jim was a dedicated teacher. Students loved him and they treated him with respect and love. I am sure that God is asking Jim's advice about everything from animals to his wonderful daughter Megan to fishing. He will be missed.

An Irish Blessing

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
May the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And, until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

You will be missed.
With Love,

To the family,
I was sorry to read of Mr. Cunnigham's death. I was a student at Otisville when he taught history. He always kept his classes interesting and prepared us well for the Regents. I remeber he had quite a sense of humor but certainly could get serious when coaching the basketball team.
My sympathy to all of you for your loss.
Sincerely,
JoAnn Pollo Terwilliger

I remember Roscoe well. He saved my neck. St. Francis College was playing St. Vincent's in basketball, at St. V. I went on a bus and went looking for him to say Hi. I got caught by some fraternity guys who were going to shave STV into my hair, but Roscoe was there and convinced them to let me go. That's the kind of guy he was, fun loving and a good guy.
