Joan Maceda Obituary
Joan P. Maceda of Greenwood Lake, NY, a partner in the Wetlin Insurance Agency, died Friday, May 1, 2009 in Chilton Hospital in Pompton Plains. She was 73.
The daughter of the late John and Helen Mullaney, she was born March 9, 1936 in New York City, NY.
She was a member of the Greenwood Lake Chamber of Commerce and a former chairman of the Town of Warwick Democratic Committee.
Survivors include her husband, Peter Maceda, at home; her children: Bonnie Cavaleri and her husband, Tim of Oppenheim, NY and John Maceda and his wife, Sharon of Greenwood Lake; four grandchildren: Nicole Cavaleri, Victoria, Jessica Jean and Hailee Maceda; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, May 4, and Tuesday, May 5, at the Strong-Basile Funeral Home, 4 Oak St., Greenwood Lake, NY. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society or the Greenwood Lake Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

My sincere condolences to all of you.
Bonnie was and always will be one of my Best friends.
I slept over there house so much growing up, when Joan went out and bought Bonnie a new quilt she also bought me one too.
The memories are endless....from swimming at Sterling Beach and seeing how many kids Joan could fit in her yellow volkswagon (John always got stuck in the boot) to Joan & Pete driving us to and from Mt.Peter ski center...the memories go on & on...
It's those memories you never,ever forget.
