John Fanzini Obituary

John Fanzini passed away October 31, 2006.

He was born in the Bronx, N.Y., on October 4, 1939 to Louis and Marie (Riccio) Fanzini, and was married to Sandra DiBartolo at the church of St. Theresa, in the Bronx on November 5, 1960.

He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 46 years, Sandra; his three children and their spouses: Louis and Joanne Fanzini, Rosemarie and Peter DiBernardi, and Jennifer and Christopher Farinacci, and he is also survived by his nine beautiful, loving grandchildren: Peter, John, Alexandra DiBernardi; Nicholas, Sophia, and John Fanzini; and Brooke, Christopher, and Lilly Farinacci.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Louis Fanzini.

He is also survived by his sisters in-law, Nancy Fanzini and Amelia DiBartolo, and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, MaryAnn and Anthony DiBartolo, and also his nieces and their spouses: Elena and Chris Irving, Lauren and Ralph Werner, and Linda and Jaimie Ferracane. John was an avid Yankees fan and lover of history (history books and the History Channel).

Wake will be held at TJ McGowan Funeral Home, Garnerville, on Thursday, November 2, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gregory Barborigo Church in Garnerville at 10:15 a.m.

He will be sorely missed by his family and many good friends.

You and Sandra have been a very visible part our neighborhood since Jen & Chris moved to Brielle. Always there whenever you were needed to stay with your grandchildren, watch the house or bring in the mail. We will miss you on our block.
