John Pignetti Obituary
John Pignetti, a resident of Naples, FL, since 2002 and formerly of Beacon and Marlboro, NY, entered into rest Sunday, May 29, 2005, at Naples Community Hospital, Naples, FL. He was 65.
Born in Newburgh, NY, he was the son of Gregory and Theresa Torelli Pignetti. He married the former Helen Comandatore on July 9, 1960 at St. John's Church, Beacon. Mrs. Pignetti survives at home.
Mr. Pignetti was an accountant at IBM, East Fishkill, N.Y., retiring in 2002 after 30 years of service, and also owned and operated P&K Tax Services in Beacon. He was a former president and captain of Lewis Tompkins Hose Co., Beacon, a member of VFW, Beacon, the Elks in Naples, St. Rocco's Society, Beacon, and the Catholic League of America, and was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist, Beacon. He was a US Army veteran.
He was a devoted and hardworking husband, father, and friend and an avid Yankees fan.
In addition to his wife of 44 years, Mr. Pignetti is survived by three sons, John and his wife, Sheri, Milton, NY, Dean and his wife, Lisa, Walkill, NY, and Brian, Naples, FL; three brothers, Anthony and his wife, Annette, Naples, FL, Danny and his wife, Jenny, Philadelphia, PA, and Thomas and his wife, Jane, Trumbull, CT; two sisters, Rose Lawson, Walkill, and Theresa Edick and her husband, David, El Cajon, CA.; three grandchildren, Anthony and Daniel, Milton, and Tia, Walkill; and nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 2, 2005, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon. Members of Lewis Tompkins Hose will meet for services at 7:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2005, at St. John's, 35 Willow Street, Beacon.
Entombment will follow in Cedar Hill Community Mausoleum, 5468 Route 9W, Newburgh, NY.
