Mildred Denton Obituary
Mildred Rose Denton, of Newburgh, entered into rest on March 8, 2009 at Valley View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Goshen. She was 98.
Daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Maria Nucifore, she was born on March 8, 1911 in Newburgh. She was married to Theodore Denton who predeceased her in 1979.
Mildred attended Newburgh schools, and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Newburgh and the Catholic Daughters. She was a retired seamstress and member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
She is survived by her loving son, Richard Denton and his wife, Stella of Beacon; grandchildren: Amy Denton, Joshua Denton, and Rebecca Denton and her husband, Wallace Vidrine; great-grandchildren, Ryan Denton and Anthony Vidrine; brother, Salvatore Nucifore of New Windsor.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Anna DeLuca and Ida Amen; and brother, Joseph Nucifore.
Visitation will be held from 10-10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 13, at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mildred's memory may be made to the Catholic Daughters, Scared Heart Church, Newburgh.
