Peter Gullo Obituary

Peter A. Gullo, a retired salesman and manager for Sears, died Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at Cornwall Hospital. He was 88.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Peter and Michelina Gullo. He later moved to Stroudsburg, Pa. where he resided with his beloved wife, Cecelia for 52 years, they have resided in New Windsor for the past five years.

Peter was a lifetime member of the American Legion, served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Antietam and USS Bunker Hill, and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ in Pennsylvania. Peter will be missed by many and loved by all.

He is survived by his wife Cecelia at home, daughters, Patricia Luongo and her husband John, Elizabeth Blick and her husband Jay, one son, Peter Gullo and his wife Fran in the state of Florida, two step-sons, Manny Cachia and his wife Connie of Lindenhurst, L.I., and Vincent Cachia of Woodland, Calif., two sisters, Catherine McCormick and Antoinette Quintro, grandchildren, William and Jennifer Mackey, John and Melissa Luongo, Peter Mackey, Nicole Luongo, Timothy Mackey, James Blick, John Blick, Peter Gullo, Kristen Gullo, Scott Fischer, Coral Nocie, Anthony, Joseph Glen, and Lisa, and several nieces and nephews. Great-grandchildren, Michael and Nicolas Nocie and Samantha Cachia. He was predeceased by his daughter Carol-Ann, son-in-law, William Mackey and a great-grandson, Thomas Cachia.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2005 at 12 noon at Coloni Funeral Home, 3001 Rt. 9W, New Windsor, N.Y. The family will be present to receive friends on Friday, June 10, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home. For a family guestbook and directions visit colonifuneralhome.com
