" Ray Sitra - Great friend, caring, creative, genius, sensitive, tough, insightful, thoughtful, loving, driven, wise, intense, compassionate, funny, hilarious, sense of fairness, faithful, Intelligent, Lord's disciple, LOYAL, !!!!"

I am so saddened that Ray has been taken from us at such a young age. I met Ray several years ago on a routine phone call and that was the start of our great friendship. He eventually came to work with me in real estate and we really connected. If you look in the dictionary you should see his picture as a true definition of "friend". Ray's compassion, concern and caring for others was very rare. Ray had deep insight about our world and wisdom about living life and maintaining relationships that was rare for someone of his short 38 years.

Lucille and Jennifer, please know that you have been and will continue to remain in my prayers just as Ray and his voice of wisdom and laughter will remain in my heart. It was always clear in every conversation with him how important you both were in his life. I'm sure anyone who knew him even for a short time knew how much he loved you both along with his beloved grandfather.

Ray was always giving and lived his life with vibrancy and gusto in spite of many disappointments. We should all learn a valuable lesson from Ray. As he sat me down several months ago and told me, " You need to slow down and pay attention to all of the things around you. Take time for your precious family and relationships. You can't take life for granted or expect that all you have been blessed with will be there for you tomorrow so take what God has blessed you with and slow down and listen to Him before you miss something of great importance!"

If you were friends with Ray than you were loved by Ray...whether you knew it, or wanted it or ? Once he had a relationship with you no matter how new or how long ago, you were loved by him infinitely.

"By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."John 13:35

Although I am very saddened by his passing I have total peace that God knew exactly what He was doing when he called Ray home. God will bless us all somehow by this event. God has already blessed us all by putting Ray in our lives. Ray you are at peace. You are now surrounded by unimaginable love. Have a blast with your grandfather. I can only imagine that reunion!

To Lucille, Jennifer & Family,
We knew Ray since he & our daughter, Cathleen, attended Truman Moon...now it seems so long ago....however time just truly passes us by so quickly.I can not begin to feel you pain on the loss of your son & brother , however, PLEASE know that he will be cuddled in the arms of Our Lord and watch his family in a special way --look up in the sky to see the stars at night and Ray's beams will be on streaming on you. His laughter as a child is still vivid in our ears. Love & Prayers, Stan & Patricia Grippe

i'd challenge anyone to tell me they ever met a man quite like Raybo or a teenager like Raybo when he was younger. I feel very sad for us not having him somewhere in this world, but he will always eventually make me smile and laugh, and I mean laugh, when i think of Ray. The Good Lord only made one of him and anybody that Ray befriended knew that the minute they met Ray. He was an original and he will be sorely missed.

Ray was a good friend. I will miss his laugh and his generous spirit. As we approach our 20th year away from high school, I was looking forward to listening to Ray tell me different stories about his life, and discussing old times. Ray was a friend to everyone, and would go the extra mile for anyone. I will truely miss you Ray. God must have a more important job for you in heaven, because you are still needed here. My deepest sympathy to all those who loved Ray, and for those lucky enough to have known him.

To the Sitra Family,

I know there are no words to describe your pain, I am truly sorry for your loss. I heard from Ray at least once or twice a year, he was always looking for a mutual friend of ours. When we spoke, he was full of life, always positive and very caring about anyone he spoke of.

You both will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Ray would never forget a face, name or a friend. We first met at Truman Moon Elementary in the second grade and lost touch after High School, but when I lost my Mom two years ago, Ray along with dozens of others who showed up at the house to lift out spirits, for this I am enternaly grateful. It just showed that when you befriended Ray, you had a friend for life!
My heart goes out to his Mother and Sister and the rest of his Family.

He will be missed.

My deepest sympathies to Ray's friends & family. I knew Ray from when we attended Truman Moon Elementary together, and crossed paths with him a few times over the years. He was always so full of life and laughter, always more interested in how I was doing than anything else. When we were kids, my mom used to refer to him as the "overly polite boy", and he was, always ready with a "thank you". I remember he loved my mom's brownies especially! I always hoped I'd run across him again someday and catch-up, but until we DO meet again, I know Ray is smiling down on us from upstairs, waiting with a Smile, Laugh and a hug!
